Preparing for my second study abroad

As I sit at the Dubai International Airport, I can’t help but think of what great opportunity awaits me in Ghana.

I just got off a six hour flight from Zurich, Switzerland, and now have a seven hour layover. So, I have plenty of down time to prepare for my eight hour flight to Accra, Ghana.

I am very excited to begin my second study abroad semester. I begin school at the University of Ghana in two weeks, so I’ll have some time to adjust to my new environment and participate in international student orientation.

I have no expectations of what my first experience will be like in Ghana, but I know that the unknown will keep me more open-minded and will help me better enjoy my study abroad experience.

Being the first person in my immediate family to travel and study in Africa is a great privilege and I can’t wait to share my experiences with them and everyone else.

I will be the sole USU student attending the University of Ghana this fall, so I am looking forward to representing myself and USU well.

I’m on my world tour

After completing my study abroad program this summer in Switzerland, I had the opportunity to travel to Groningen and Amsterdam, Holland; Nantes and Paris, France; Logrono, Madrid, and Barcelona, Spain; Torino and Milan, Italy; and Rigi, Switzerland. Each city has its own unique beauty and I am very grateful and blessed to have gotten the opportunity to travel so much this summer.
